Adaptive Work Study Program - 313700

The City of Mason Adaptive Work Study Program is a 10-week program that provides an opportunity for individuals with disabilities, ages 16 and up, to gain valuable work experience, develop transferable skills, and contribute to the city’s day to day operations across different departments.
Individuals who would like to participate must complete an application as well as a request for accommodation. A link to the application will be emailed to those interested on March 15th and must be returned by April 15th.
Applicants will be notified of application status no later than May 1st.
Once selected, participants will complete a weeklong orientation followed by 9 weeks of experience in 1 or 2 departments (determined based on interest and abilities). The program will conclude with a graduation ceremony.
Throughout the 10 weeks, participants will engage in various workshops focused on professional development, as well as weekly check ins with the program coordinator.

Flora, Fauna, and Fun - 362305

Flora, Fauna & Fun is an opportunity for children to embrace nature in a new way.
By learning about our ecosystem from the ground up, we can better understand and appreciate the world around us. From sun to seed and seed to squirrel, come and see how it’s all connected in an activity-based learning experience.
This three-day camp will provide an accessible nature camp experience to children with disabilities. Children will spend day 1 of this camp in Mason Community Center and Pine Hill Park. Days 2 & 3 will be spent in Makino Park.
