Safety Camp is presented by the Mason Police Department and will teach your child aspects of fire safety, first aid, water safety, playground safety, internet safety, strangers, and animal control.

Teen Leadership Camp is a leadership development program for teens 14 – 16 years of age.
The Teen Leadership Program focuses on developing tomorrow’s leaders using Collaboration, Communication, Cooperation, and Compassion as a framework for the week. Participants will gain and practice self-care tools and techniques, participate in daily workshops focusing on various aspects of leadership, and work with a local organization to complete a service project that gives back to the community. Participants can receive credit for 20 hours of community service.

Teens will build community, develop a growth mindset, and gain confidence during a week of traditional day camp that focuses on developing skills throughout the week.
During Sport Camp, teens will practice and play new and familiar sports. To end the week, they will work to create a new sport to teach and play.

Summer Little Feet camp encourages socialization and friendships, independence, and confidence in campers. Each week campers will have a special guest visitor, a Swim America swim lesson, as well as crafts and activities that bring to life the week's theme. This camp is hosted at Mason Community Center; however, campers will walk to the Pine Hill Lakes Park playground. Campers must be potty trained to attend.

This advanced class focuses on overall self-control, self-discipline, self-defense techniques, balance, flexibility, and strength. Tae Kwon Do will build character and develop courtesy, integrity, honor, respect, loyalty, perseverance, concentration, and compassion to their highest potential.

Tae Kwon Do is a well-balanced Korean martial art that specializes in kicking skills. No previous experience is necessary for this class. Adults, teens, and children will train together in a family oriented program.

Parents of all participants under the age of 13 are asked to remain on site during class. Parents of beginning students are welcome to participate with their children at no cost but will need to pay for their own uniform and belt advancements, so long as they've filled out a waiver. Please note: A Tae Kwon Do uniform is not required for participation in this class; however, a uniform may be required for any participants who would like to enjoy this program long-term.

The City of Mason Adaptive Work Study Program is a 10-week program that provides an opportunity for individuals with disabilities, ages 16 and up, to gain valuable work experience, develop transferable skills, and contribute to the city’s day to day operations across different departments.
Individuals who would like to participate must complete an application as well as a request for accommodation. A link to the application will be emailed to those interested on March 15th and must be returned by April 15th.
Applicants will be notified of application status no later than May 1st.
Once selected, participants will complete a weeklong orientation followed by 9 weeks of experience in 1 or 2 departments (determined based on interest and abilities). The program will conclude with a graduation ceremony.
Throughout the 10 weeks, participants will engage in various workshops focused on professional development, as well as weekly check ins with the program coordinator.

As part of our effort to make the community a safer place to live and work, the City of Mason Fire Department is offering a series of CPR classes. CPR training is free for Premier members and Mason residents, and a small fee for non-residents (discounts available for non-residents who are Basic members of Mason Community Center).

During the sessions, participants will learn adult and child CPR as well as the proper operation of an automated external defibrillator (AED). After the four hour class, participants will receive a certification from the American Heart Association.

Classes will be held in the community room at Fire Station 51, 4420 Mason-Montgomery Road. Please register through Mason Community Center.

Using a curriculum developed by the experts from USA Football, coaches will teach skills like passing, receiving, kicking and flag pulling. Join us for a family friendly Dive-in Movie Night. The pool is heated, but if you prefer to stay on dry land, you can also watch the film from our pool deck. Feel free to bring along towels or blankets to sit on. We will project the movie on a large screen beside the pool. Relax and float along as you enjoy the film. Inner tubes are available for guests (limited quantity).

Gain a new perspective on yoga by placing your heart higher than your head through a yoga inversion practice. Yoga inversions promote flexibility, circulation, energy, and even self-esteem. This program will instruct you step by step how to incorporate inversions asana into your yoga practice.

This is a beginning level class for adults. Classes will be half traditional stroke work and half focused on rallying skills.

This is a cardio based class for adults with less emphasis on instruction and more on hitting and moving.

Learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, friendly setting. This class is for beginners and most participants will have little to no tennis experience.

Open Gym is a time where kids can come and practice what they learned in class, try out new skills or experience gymnastics for the first time in a casual setting. Staff will be on hand to supervise and spot but it will be an open, casual atmosphere where parents can play along with their kids as well as an opportunity for kids to work on their own.

The City of Mason Manta Rays competitive swim team emphasizes the importance of academic excellence and character development. Aligning with a culture of wellness, the swim team will host free community swim clinics to highlight the importance of water safety and to provide instruction for swimming.

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the amazing world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.The PADI Open Water Course, held at the Mason Community Center through Cincy Scuba, is the world’s most popular diving course, and for a good reason!

What is Open Water Course: Teaches you the foundation and skills you need to become a competent diver. You will acquire a wealth of both theory and practical knowledge to dive safely and securely. Certification is up to 60 feet and is valid for life.

Check-Out Dive - The sections that will be completed in our program is, 1) the classroom/online learning and the 2) in-water learning sessions. Our course does NOT include the “check-out dive.” To complete their full PADI Open Water Scuba Certification they need to complete their “check-out” dive on their own. The fees associated with this course does NOT include the “check-out” dive fees. This is true if they were to take the course directly with Cincy Scuba at their dive shop. Cincy Scuba is happy to help in scheduling their check-out dive.

Personal Dive Gear: Personal dive gear you will need for the course: a mask, dive boots, fins, and snorkel. You will need to purchase these prior to class. This is true if they were to take the course directly with Cincy Scuba at their dive shop.



The PADI Open Water Certification is divided into three steps, so students develop skills in a progressive and enjoyable fashion.
Step 1 (Online/classroom Learning): E-Learning is completed through PADI’s website. You can complete the e-learning progressively over a span of 5-8 hours. All students must complete e-learning prior to the first day in the pool.

Step 2 (In water at MCC): Skills are divided into small chunks to make it easy for anyone to learn scuba. The pool lessons will be fun. You will be surprised at how quickly you can learn to dive!

Step 3 (Two Days at Gilboa Quarry or Your Chosen Vacation Destination): This is the final step in the certification process. You may complete this at Gilboa Quarry over two days or you can complete this final step in the certification process by completing these “checkout dives” on vacation.
This step three must be completed within one year of your pool dives. Your PADI Instructor will help you schedule your checkout dives in Ohio or refer you to a PADI dive shop close to your chosen vacation destination.

Reminder: “check-out” dive and the fees associated with this dive are NOT included in this class. Check-out dive may be scheduled with Cincy Scuba or another certification company on your own.

Classroom sessions are on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:30pm.
In-water sessions are on Sunday mornings from 9:00am12:00pm.
The first week will only be Tuesday class session. Sunday in-water sessions begin the second week. All classes and in-water is held here at the Mason Community Center. Attendance at all classrooms and in-water sessions is crucial.

Bodies in Balance: Water fitness program is ideal for those with arthritis, Parkinson's, fibromyalgia, discharged or phase 3 pulmonary rehab, or other joint complications. Led by a certified athletic trainer, this program utilizes rehab-based exercises compared to a traditional water fitness class. Participants will use the high resistance and low impact properties of water to increase overall muscle strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility.

Introducing Cincy Ninja Kids, where swing, jump, climb, roll, fall, stabilize, kick, punch, smile, and repeat are the foundation for establishing functional skills for young athletes aged 7-12. Our exciting sessions blend elements of martial arts, parkour, yoga, and gymnastics, instilling confidence through strength and balance movements. Our nonstop energy ninja fun camps ensure your child leaves tired, having climbed, jumped, tumbled through obstacle courses, and focused on strength, agility, and balance training. Scale walls on our rock climbing course, engage in ninja games, and swim like a ninja, all while bringing out the ninja in your little one.

Make way. This summer, princesses in training will be dancing at the Mason Community Center. For 5 days your princess gets to wear their best dresses to learn the fundamental of ballet. Campers will learn correct body positioning and technique to fun music. Each day will include a small craft to feel even more like a princess. Along with proper Ballet etiquette and an elegant performance for parents and guardians at the end.

Participants will learn basic fishing skills and will have an opportunity to practice those skills while fishing together at Pine Hill Lakes Park. Some skills they will learn are casting, reeling, and how to properly bait your fishing pole. Participants will also learn about native fish species, and water safety while fishing. Fishing poles and tackle will be provided. Participants are encourage to bring a water bottle.
